Description/Job Summary

IT Technical Support - Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
Reports to:    IT Department                                                                          
FLSA Status: Non- Exempt (hourly)                             

                               
Responsibilities:
 
  • Troubleshoot computer problems and assist users.
  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware systems.
  • Research technical manuals, confer and investigate with other users and conduct computer diagnostics for technical assistance and support.
  • Service and maintain office and plant computer peripherals and network devices including printers, toner cartridges, hand held scanners, time-clocks, forklift access controls and the production scale system.
  • Setup user configurations and support user software applications including MS Outlook, MS Office, AS400, etc.
  • Provide equipment, software, and hardware training as needed.
  • Coordinate software and hardware vendors service requests to resolve open issues.
  • Recommend cost savings improvements and system updates and upgrades.

Knowledge:
 
  • Computers and Electronics – Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.  This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Education:  
 
  • Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience – One to three years experience working in Computer Technology required.
