Description/Job Summary

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the verification and quality control of outbound materials. The Shipping Coordinator will ensure that all paperwork is correct by physical inspection of materials. Shipping coordinators act as a final checkpoint for our orders and play a pivotal role in managing timely delivery to our customers. 
Include the following, other duties may be assigned.
  • Monitor the completion of outbound shipments.
  • Review opportunities for consolidation of pallets on a shipment.
  • Verify/audit accuracy of staged orders prior to releasing orders for loading/shipment.
  • Print shipping labels and affix them to their respective pallets.
  • Print packing lists and affix them to their respective shipments.
  • Inform proper personnel of pallets ready for loading onto trucks.
  • Enter various data related to shipping documents into the automated Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Assist with compiling of information for reports as needed.
  • Assist with tracing outbound shipments as needed.
  • Assist with investigating shipping discrepancies and errors when necessary.
  • Report and remove all damaged product from shipments as needed.
  • Conduct daily review of all shipping paperwork.
  • Maintain an efficient filing system for all shipping documents.
  • Preparing Shipping paperwork as well as completing shipping transaction in appropriate systems.
  • Assist with any other administrative duties assigned by management.
 Education and/or Experience
  • Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or zero to one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position requires constant walking throughout the warehouse during all weather conditions, both hot and cold.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
