Description/Job Summary

QUALITY MANAGER - Pitt Plastics, Inc. - Pittsburg, KS


  • Investigate all plant quality issues.
  • Work with Production management and Customer Service to investigate/solve quality issues.
  • Write, create, revise procedures and work instructions for all departments.
  • Key customer contact for regulatory compliance requests; Certificates of Compliance, FSA USDA Certifications, Continuing Guarantee, etc. if available, upon request.
  • Work with Customers and suppliers to investigate quality issues.
  • Interact and support Columbus, Atlanta, and Arizona locations with quality issues.
  • Create and/or write communication documents for Sales/Pitt Management upon request.
  • Develop ISO compliant quality system.
  • Maintain and keep Quality Policy Manual current.
  • Control of Documents
  • Control of Records
  • Conduct Internal Audits to assure compliance.
  • Third Party Audit compliance- maintaining YUM, NSF and other vendor requirements all locations throughout the year.
  • Staff, maintain and use laboratory and testing equipment.
  • Perform customer required testing.
  • Monthly Customer Concern Meetings i.e., quality issues.

  • Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.   This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Education – College Degree preferred
  • Experience – five (5) or more years of experience in quality control and manufacturing required.
