Description/Job Summary

JOB PURPOSE:
Develop store level and regional relationships to gain additional shelf placement of Inteplast products and facilitate execution of corporate level programs.  This person is also responsible for managing their territory through product knowledge training, market understanding, end user relationships, store level service and data acquisition and management.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop mutually beneficial relationships within assigned stores and with regional decision makers to assist the sell-in of products and gain access to end-use customers to drive increased sales on Inteplast products.
  • Manage, audit and maintain the in-store environment to meet established Inteplast product standards.
  • Support new product introductions by working to ensure that product is stocked in the expected location and ready for sale and that store personal is PKed on the new items.
  • Provide store level training as needed or requested by retail customers. Utilize established guidelines to train all store reps with respect to any Inteplast products where applicable.
  • Attend all required contractor training events including:  Contractor Breakfasts, Contractor Luncheons, Regional Sales presentations, Contractor trainings and other events as they arise in your region.
  • Perform cycle count reviews to ensure inventory levels are adequate and correct. This function requires pulling selected item reports from individual stores, checking computer counts against physical counts to determine accuracy.  Work with store management to correct wrong counts.
  • Responsible for implementation of merchandising materials for new products and line extensions. 
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate internal and external recording and reporting of field sales reports, expense reports, and special projects from National Account Managers.
  • Monitors store activities and trends, consults with National Account Managers, participate in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives.
  • Gather data and pricing information as requested.
  • Operates in a safe manner in alignment with Inteplast’s stated policies and all applicable laws..
  • Does other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Valid driver’s license and solid driving record.
  • Basic understanding of retail environment
  • Strong relationship, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong multi-tasking, organization, and time management skills.
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of software applications.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Strong presentation and training skills.
  • General understanding of building materials and construction.
  • Must have general knowledge of mechanical tools and how to use them.
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required.
  • Demonstrate exceptional teamwork and customer service; behave professionally; treat others with respect and dignity.
  • Physical requirements include duties common to a regular office environment.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
     
 Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree desired
 
Experience:
  • 6 month related experience.  Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Extensive travel required 60%.
