# POSITIONS REPORTING TO INCUMBENT IN THIS JOB:
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
Assist the workstation operator in producing a good quality product safely and efficiently; by conducting thorough quality checks along with stacking/packaging product according to standard and/or customer requirements.
*High school graduate or equivalent.
*Have good oral and written communication skills.
*Be available for overtime.
*Complete basic math such as adding, dividing, subtracting, percentages, etc.
*Train on different machinery and different lines as needed.
*Must be able to read a ruler to 1/16”
*Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
*Organizational structures and department function.
Example: Coroplast organizational chart
*THM training - 5S housekeeping requirements, OCS, Recycling, Safety
Example: OCS Pledge; pinch points of machine; machine guarding; etc.
*ISO document control compliance and revision statuses when applicable
Example: Standard work instructions; Workstation quality check sheets; production reports, etc.
IV. AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING
The catcher – utility has the authority to set up the blades for product slitting requirements. He/she has the authority to reject non-conforming parts that are a result of machine setup or error and/or previous production concerns. He/she has the authority to notify any and all other applicable personnel of unsafe practices or concerns. He/she has the responsibility to report unsafe practices.
V. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A. JOB TASKS & DUTIES
*Ensure that the workplace is safe, professional, and clean by upholding company “THM” practices [i.e. 5S, OCS, Safety, Recycle] established plant wide and for the extrusion department.
Examples include, but are not limited to, emptying the trash, sweeping floors and mezzanine areas, etc.
*Assures validation and compliance of product requirements by performing and documenting quality checks on production materials at set intervals. Fill out all paperwork neatly and accurately. ( i.e. quality check and production tickets)
*Assist the operator in the upkeep of the machine and set ups for production runs.
Examples include, but are not limited to knives, doing product dimension checks, visually monitor and observe for any arising machining or safety issues, etc.
*Wear required personal protective equipment.
*Assist fellow coworkers as needed to maintain levels of production.
*Notify operator, lead, or supervisor of any issues or defects.
*Assist with periodic inventory sessions as needed.
*Perform other duties as requested by management.

*Light Maintenance tools
*Knives (utility and trim knives)
*Light Measuring Devices (tape measures etc)

C. Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist.
D. Kneeling, bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
E. Crouching, bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

G. Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
H. Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
J. Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
K. Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
L. Lifting, raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.

M. Fingering, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling.
N. Grasping, applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
O. Feeling, perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
P. Talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; via face to face or telephone.
R. Repetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
