# POSITIONS REPORTING TO INCUMBENT IN THIS JOB:
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
The primary role of the Hand Trim [i.e. packaging] workstation is to assist each of the three main converting machines, such as Eterna, Tecasa, and Laminator by thoroughly conducting quality checks while stacking, packaging, and trimming laminate product according to standard and/or customer requirements.
*High school graduate or equivalent.
*Have good oral and written communication skills.
*Available for overtime.
*Complete basic math such as adding, dividing, subtracting, percentages, etc.
*Train on different Machinery and different lines as needed.
*Must be able to read a ruler to 1/16”
*Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
*Organizational structures and department function.
Example: Coroplast organizational chart
*THM training - 5S housekeeping requirements, OCS, Recycling, Safety
Example: OCS Pledge; pinch points of machine; machine guarding; etc.
*ISO document control compliance and revision statuses when applicable
Example: Die cut dimensions, folding abilities, hole punches, laminate trim tolerances, packaging standards, etc
IV. AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING
The Handtrim position has the authority to set up the machine for comfortable work flow, along with the ability to reject non-conforming product.
V. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A. JOB TASKS & DUTIES
*Ensure that the workplace is safe, professional, and clean by upholding company “THM” practices [i.e. 5S, OCS, Safety, Recycle] established plant wide and for the extrusion department.
Examples include, but are not limited to, emptying the trash, sweeping floors and aisleway areas, etc.
*Clean, inspect, and stack the product according to standard or customer requirements.
Examples include, but are not limited to, cleaning the work area, checking product dimensions, checking die cut quality, cleaning die cut holes, etc.
*Wear required personal protective equipment.
*Hand trim laminate.
*Notify machine operator, lead, or supervisor of any issues or defects.
*Assist fellow coworkers as needed to maintain levels of production.
*Assist with periodic inventory sessions as needed.
*Perform other duties as requested by management.

D. VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

A. Machine operation, inspection, close assembly, clerical and administrative duties.
Example: Preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, data entry, CRT exposure, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, using measurement devices or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
E. Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and perception.
