Extrusion Technician: Seeking Experienced Extrusion Technicians:
Position requires previous work experience in plastic/molding extrusion process. 
Only those with this type of previous work experience will be considered.
Pay negotiable based upon relevant experience.

Description/Job Summary
The position takes a blend of powdered materials into profiles through the foaming expansion of PVC. The job also requires applying finishing prints and packaging the material to be shipped out the door. The Extrusion Technician is responsible for the profile from the start to finish.
Responsibilities/Duties
Operate and maintain extrusion equipment through all levels. Operate extruder, downstream equipment, and packing material in accordance with customer specifications.
Accurately complete paperwork that is utilized to determine if production metrics are captured.
Ability to follow a schedule and produce material in accordance with the schedule.
Ensure that only quality product is packed; recognizes what is not a quality product and adjusts machine parameters accordingly.
Train co-workers in a continuous learning environment creating a positive teamwork oriented workforce.
Comply with all aspects of the Quality Control Manual pertaining to product specifications.
 
Required Education
High school graduate or GED

Preferred Education
Vocational school (post-secondary) is a plus.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) months packing experience (or equivalent) or a minimum of six (6) months experience machine operating in a manufacturing operation.
Proven ability to utilize basic math skills.
Proven ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
Ability to use a gauge, staple gun, and saw.

Preferred Skills

  • Minimum 1-year experience in the extrusion department
  • P.C. knowledge
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Oral and written communication skills
