Description/Job Summary

Responsible for administering the Human Resources policies to support the plant's business plan. Carry-out the functions of employment, Affirmative Action, employee relations, benefits and training and development. The ideal candidate would enjoy working with people, working in a team-oriented environment, be self-motivated, and able to prioritize. This positions serves as the on-site HR person.

Responsibilities/Duties

Coordinate the recruitment and selection of potential employees

Process the hourly payroll on a weekly basis

Drive the evaluation process for the hourly workforce to ensure consistency.

Oversee adequate orientation and training within the plant

Coordinate the administration of employee and plant services (including safety and workers' compensation)

MUST maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information

Must have a professional appearance and good personal hygiene

Must be able to utilize effective communication, problem-solving, conflict management, and interpersonal skills

Able to work collaboratively with other departments

Stay tuned to HR trends, laws and updates to ensure company policies

Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

Minimum 3 years of work experience in Human Resources (preferably in a plant manufacturing HR role)

Demonstrated work knowledge of multiple HR areas (recruitment, employee relations, Affirmative Action, payroll, benefits, safety, training, workers' compensation, investigations, and orientations)

Presentation skills required

Ability to use general office equipment

Attention to detail in all areas of work

Excellent writing skills, including proper spelling and grammar

Required Education

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education

Associates degree in Business or Human Resources (Bachelors's degree a plus)
