Responsible for administering the Human Resources policies to support the plant's business plan. Carry-out the functions of employment, Affirmative Action, employee relations, benefits and training and development. The ideal candidate would enjoy working
with people, working in a team-oriented environment, be self-motivated, and able to prioritize. This position serves as the onsite HR person. In addition to the HR functions of the plant, this position will assist Plant Manager with projects as needed and
assist with some light Accounting functions.
Coordinate the recruitment and selection of potential employees.
Process hourly payroll on a weekly basis.
Drive the evaluation process for the hourly workforce to ensure consistency.
Oversee adequate orientation and training within the plant.
Coordinate the administration of employee and plant services (including safety and workers' compensation).
MUST maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information.
Must have a professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
Must be able to utilize effective communication, problem-solving, conflict management, and interpersonal skills.
Able to work collaboratively with other departments.
Stay tuned to HR trends, laws, and updates to ensure company policies.
Assist Plant Manager with special projects as needed.
Assist with simple Accounting functions (accounts payable).
Minimum of three (3) years work experience in Human Resources (preferably in a plant manufacturing HR role).
Demonstrated work knowledge of multiple HR areas (recruitment, employee relations, Affirmative Action, payroll, benefits, safety, training, workers' compensation, investigations, and orientations).
Presentation skills required.
Ability to use general office equipment.
Attention to detail in all areas of work.
Excellent writing skills, including proper spelling and grammar.
High School Diploma or GED
Associates degree in Business or Human Resources (Bachelor's degree a plus).
