Member of a working team in all activities directly pertaining to the fabrication of BOPP film
Participating as a member working in the operation of a very high speed and fast paced production environment
Support the training of all operators assigned to the BOPP orienter
ORIENTER-Resin delivery systems, extrusion, casting, MD orientation, TD orientation, post TD web handling, treatment, online recycling system and winding
Practice safe work habits in all areas of the facility while setting the example for other co-workers. Safety must be number one priority.
Be alert to all changes in equipment operation and film behavior/appearance
Identify process/equipment problems by continuously monitoring the operation
Effectively communicate with other production personnel, including team members, supervisors, production manager, and maintenance personnel
Provide accurate and up-to-date information for use in production reports/records
Ensure a hazard free working environment by continuously practicing safety awareness and hazard recognition while maintaining impeccable housekeeping standards
Be capable of understanding all data recordings and have the ability to maintain good production records
Possess a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the film fabrication process as pertains to the BOPP orienter. They interact with co-workers as part of a highly motivated and productive team. The primary responsibility of a Film Line Technician is the daily operation of the orienter line.
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy
Must possess the ability to identify potential, as well as, actual problems and effectively communicate these findings to the appropriate supervision
High School Diploma and/or GED
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Overtime may be required due to production requirements
Two years experience in a manufacturing environment.
