Description/Job Summary

This position reports to the Supply Chain Supervisor. The position will ensure the right amount of goods on hand are kept and are responsible for avoiding shortages or excess inventory. The position will be responsible for the data integrity and recordings of the inventory in AS400 and IBS systems. They will work with multiple departments to ensure open communication of available product daily.


  • A College diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • 1-2 years of related experience is preferred
  • Proven knowledge in purchasing, receiving and inventory control
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with other departments and with external suppliers
  • Proficient in computerized inventory systems, Excel, and word processing
  • Knowledge in database management, analyzing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends, and solutions an asset
  • Technical writing skills- have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate via email, or reports


  • Review and investigate all discrepancies and report as necessary.

  • Provide support for operational daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.

  • Verify inventory for production planning purposes as needed.

  • Assist and enter monthly inventories in AS400.

  • Perform month end close process. Review downtime and verify that all production is entered correctly in the month.

  • Inventory cycle counts, manual counts, and physical counts schedules for both plants and record the data

  • Reviews and makes recommendations to Supply Chain Planner for transfer items.

  • Coordinate monthly inventories, reconcile variances and write recommendation reports to post

  • Coordinate cycle counts in multiple plants

  • Work closely with material handlers to monitor inventory transactions

  • Work closely with shipping and receiving to monitor and reconcile inventory issues

  • Responsible for maintaining item master for AS400 and IBS

  • Report creation and inventory monitoring for item transactions

  • Ability to be cross trained within the supply chain department

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
